Steve

Steve Cole has served as the Rescue Division Manager at Horton Emergency Vehicles since 2005. The last two years, he has also taken on sales responsibility for ambulances in Eastern Ohio as well as rescue vehicle sales in the entire state of Ohio.

After studying Fire Protection and Safety Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in the early 70's, Steve went on to serve as a fire protection engineer in the manufacturing and insurance industries. He has more than 35 years of experience in the municipal Fire/Rescue field, especially with regard to fire, rescue, and EMS apparatus design and sales.

Steve also served as a Certified State Fire Service Instructor in Wisconsin. He has taught many classes to firefighters around the US and Canada in such diverse subjects as auto extrication, rope rescue, flammable liquid firefighting, large diameter hose systems for water supply, fire pump operations, thermal imaging in the fire service, and fire apparatus design.

Steve lives in Upper Arlington, OH with his wife, Valerie. They have three grown children.
